Brett M. McClafferty - or Mac - is the Managing Director of The McClafferty Family Foundation and has served in this role since 2021. Prior to serving as Managing Director, McClafferty served on the Board of Directors since 2010.
McClafferty is the Founder & Chief Investment Officer of Mac Private Equity, Inc. which manages allocations in excess of seventy-five million dollars. Prior to working in the private equity markets, Mr. McClafferty was a registered lobbyist with both the Office of the Ohio Legislative Inspector General and the United States Congress.
With a background in public service, McClafferty has served as an Ohio City Commissioner and member of the Ohio Workforce Investment Board. He has also served as an elected member of the Democratic Party Central Committee.
Mr. McClafferty currently serves on the executive committee for the Virgin Islands Community and Police Association (CAPA) and the Governor's Advisory Council for the U.S. Virgin Islands.
McClafferty attended law-undergraduate studies at Cleveland State University, and earned his Professional Certificate in Applied Laws from the University of Notre Dame.
